Augmented reality
Explore all our augmented reality applications and services
Augmented reality (AR) is changing how we interact with the world around us. At Inneva Pharma we build AR solutions for healthcare, designed to improve the experience of clinicians and patients alike.
Interactive packaging
We turn medicine packaging into a source of interactive information. Patients can learn how to handle or use the product by seeing its key features and differences:
- Clear instructions for use.
- Differentiating features that matter to the customer.
- Critical product information, made visible.
AR Pharma Explorer: device demonstration
We make it easier to show, move and handle complex medical devices, through detailed augmented reality models. Applications include:
- Standing an MRI machine up in the middle of a stage.
- Placing products in plain view, interacting with the real environment.
- Delivering an immersive way to examine complex devices.
Magic Med Journey: mechanisms of action
We illustrate the mechanism of action of a pharmaceutical product with visualisations that explain how it works, dynamically and clearly. It works:
- Using a leaflet as the marker, or directly on the surroundings.
- Creating immersive, explanatory visualisations.
Virtual photocall
We create photocall experiences where participants interact with virtual elements, using augmented reality to:
- Place 3D characters inside a physical photocall.
- Add 3D elements directly into the environment, ready to interact with.
PulseAR Alive: animated images in leaflets
Turn static images into animations that hold attention:
- Illustrations that come to life.
- Striking animation that captures the viewer.
- A distinctive experience built into your detail materials.
Magic Door
We design virtual doors that carry users into alternative settings, using augmented reality to:
- Expand the physical space.
- Take the viewer into an immersive 3D environment.
- Create other-worldly experiences, the kind you see in films.
Magic Cube
An interactive cube with six faces, each one triggering exclusive content about the product, giving:
- A 360° learning experience.
- Tailored information on every face of the cube.
Web-based augmented reality with LiDAR
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is changing the game in web-based augmented reality. Our solutions allow:
- Precise positioning in real environments.
- Interaction with the surroundings using the LiDAR camera on compatible devices.
- AR experiences straight in the browser, with no app to install.
Applications include:
- Virtual photocall with LiDAR: bespoke photocalls that interact with the space.
- Precise placement of medical devices: using LiDAR for realistic positioning.

CASE STUDIES

EchoART: augmented reality for lung ultrasound, in use across 7 countries
An augmented reality tool that combines 3D models of the pulmonary system with real ultrasound images. The user scans different areas of the 3D anatomical model and the real images associated with the ultrasound procedure appear for each area. It lets the clinician practise and learn to identify the key windows for obtaining diagnostic images.
It is Inneva’s most international application to date: started with a client in the United Kingdom, it is now deployed in 7 countries.

Sanitas Dental AR: augmented reality to explain oral conditions and treatments in 3D
An augmented reality application with a 3D viewer that lets clinicians show patients oral conditions and treatments as 3D models and animations. After a pilot in two hospitals, it was rolled out to every Sanitas Dental centre in Spain and the United Kingdom in 2019. Winner of the 2019 Aspid Award in the Augmented and Virtual Reality category.
